Product Strategy: Insurance App at Crédit Agricole

Crédit Agricole is a global powerhouse in the financial sector. Specifically, I worked with their insurance divisions in Italy, focusing on digitizing the traditional insurance experience.

The challenge

I joined the team during the pivotal launch phase of their new mobile app. The project was high-stakes and required a central figure to orchestrate feature development while ensuring complete alignment across diverse business units. We needed to ensure that complex financial data—such as damage reporting and investment tracking—was accurate, user-friendly, and compliant, all while managing a massive network of agencies and partners.

My role

I sat at the intersection of product, promotion, and partnerships. My responsibility was to manage the feature roadmap, oversee the launch strategy, and act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Product Development & Quality Assurance

I managed the end-to-end lifecycle of new features, prioritizing the roadmap based on direct customer needs.

  • Feature Strategy: I decided which capabilities would provide the most value, from policy management to emergency assistance.

  • QA & Standards: I oversaw the development process to ensure every feature met strict brand and performance standards before reaching the user.

Cross-Functional Orchestration

The stakeholder landscape was incredibly complex. I acted as the primary liaison between technical teams, legal, and various business units to ensure:

  • Financial Integrity: Ensuring digital flows correctly displayed complex financial products and respected technical requirements.

  • Claims Optimization: Refining the UI/UX for sensitive processes, such as reporting a claim or requesting immediate roadside assistance.

  • Compliance: Navigating the rigorous legal onboarding necessary for financial and insurance-related data.

Launch & Promotion Management

I oversaw the promotional activities to ensure a cohesive market entry. This involved managing creative agencies to maintain brand integrity and ensuring our banking partners were fully aligned with the launch messaging.

Results
